New Zealand Red Stag Hunting

Extraordinary

Hunting experiences

The mountains and hill country of our privately owned high country property offer premium Red Stag, Fallow Buck, Chamois, Arapawa Ram and South Pacific Goat. We stalk Bull Tahr close by. The nearby rivers and tributaries provide Salmon and Trout for you to catch. Closer to home, we have wineries, beautiful walks, and more for the non-hunters. At Glen Dene Hunting and Fishing, there really is something for everyone.

Our hunting trips are renowned worldwide for the quality of our game animals, the majesty of our land and the dedication and care provided to ensuring your hunting experience is truly extraordinary.

Hunters for life

Our base camp for all our hunting experiences is our high country property, Glen Dene Station. The station has been in the custodianship of the Burdon family for over three generations and today plays host to hunters, families, TV crews and premium brands from across the globe.

Glen Dene is a truly remarkable place. Nearly 15,000 acres of freehold land, including more than 12 miles of lakefront aspect to both Lakes Hawea and Wanaka. We offer premium lodgings and backcountry hut experiences. We are passionate about our land and our animals taking a combined conservation and recreational approach to our hunting.
