EXPLORE WANAKA & SURROUNDS

GLEN DENE NON HUNTERS PROGRAMS

As a husband and wife team, with a family of our own, we know that sometimes one member of the family wants to hunt and the others might not. We have designed a range of touring programs for non-hunters, suited to individuals, groups or families.  Just like our hunting and fishing packages, we aim to tailor tours to suit you and your interests.

Our non-hunter programs tend to explore Wanaka, Queenstown and surrounds. We are lucky enough to be in the heart of a tourists paradise. From beautiful bush walks and mountain biking to winery tours, day trips to local villages, or for the more adventurous, adrenalin activities – this area has something for everyone.

Glen Dene Station is just 10 minutes drive to Wanaka where there is a range of beautiful local boutique stores, spas, cafes and restaurants.  The bustling resort town of Queenstown is just an hours drive over the scenic Crown Range where so many activities are available.

Talk to us when booking a hunt or fishing tour about non-hunter requirements.

The area we live in is renowned for its freshly prepared local fare. From dining at a local winery to indulging at one of the many cafes and restaurants within a short drive, this is a gastronomical paradise.

From the famous Wanaka tree to the breathtaking scenery of the Rob Roy Glacier, this part of the world offers easy access to amazing locations and notable landmarks.

Many of New Zealand’s top wineries are based within an hours drive of the Glen Dene property. Often we will take a tour of an ‘area’ such as Gibbston or Bannockburn and indulge in the hosting, food and of course learn more about the local wines and processes. This region is also now home to Cardona Distillery, a popular destination for many of our touring guests.

We invite all visitors to Glen Dene to experience the same great hospitality we’ve become known for. Regularly we host events such as a BBQ on our privately owned beach to allow hunters and their families to mix and talk about their days in a unique and stunning location.

This area is known as the adventure capital of New Zealand. From rafting to jet boating, bungy and more – if you are thrill-seeking, we can help you discover an adrenalin activity to suit.

Take a look at our gallery to get an idea of the amazing places we go and the adventures we can have as part of the non-hunting tour program.
